New Lifestyles was marketed as a treatment program where teenagers over 18 could prepare themselves for the real life.

The young adults lived in one of six homes which is located within the Winchester community. All the houses had video cameras monitoring all but the sleeping rooms.


The young adults could take a high school degree, a GED test or attend a community college and a local University. Beside school there were jobs options. "Volunteering" or unpaid work assignments were also listed but it was not stated whether it was forced unpaid labor.
