Summit Quest

Summit Quest was a behavior modification program using a combination of wilderness therapy and Boot camp techniques as tools.
It was founded by Gayle Palmer Degraff - a former employee from Challenger Foundation.

May 9, 1990 15 year old Michelle Sutton lost her life only 7 days after entering the program <Ref>Remembering Michelle Lynn Sutton</Ref> <Ref>Loving them to death, Outside magazine, October 1995 (article mentioning the death).</Ref>. The program was shut down in Utah and moved to Nevada just to close due to bad publicity. No charges were filed. The manager are now working as referral consulent.
The wilderness program was sued by the parents of Sutton <ref>Girl's parents file suit against wilderness program, Mohave Daily Miner, October 30, 1990</ref>.
